Think Fawlty Tourists on Wheels and that would accurately sum up a year-long meander in Sharki, a trusty wannabe 4 x 4 campervan that took multiple terrains in her 2.8-litre stride. Sharki and the Naked Travellers is a light-hearted anecdotal book with all its moments of unpredictabilty and hilarity. Woven into the story are philosophical undertones, impressions and a bit of history thrown in.

People all over the world may speak different languages, have different cultures and hold diverse beliefs. However, we all feel, we all have hopes and dreams, and if one embraces a deep sense of humanity when travelling, the rewards are truly wonderful, life-changing and in this particular case, highly entertaining too.

Stake Out

A freak event leads to a DNA match on the most notorious sex offender and sets alarm bells ringing across every possible law enforcement agency. Only one problem though. The offender committed suicide in detention four years previously. Or did he?

The ensuing cover ups and shifting alliances beat a path to the highest office in the land and the upper echelons of corporate America. Soon the bodies start piling up. Can detectives Georgina Harris and Paul Damote bring the whole cabal down? Will they fundamentally be changed after witnessing all that they uncover? And by placing themselves front and centre in danger by refusing to remain silent, will they themselves live to tell the tale?

The change was swift and brutal; a deeply evil and carefully planned coup of the entire world, resulting in the subjugation of the entire global population through algorithmic control. Cash was gone. Bank accounts frozen. Digital IDs compulsory. No social media, no private ownership and constant invasive surveillance. Then Dr Dan Shale makes an accidental discovery, and is horrified to his core. It is clear that the proverbial elite were just warming up. Their ultimate goal? Linking every human to AI, ending all private thought, action and divine connection to God. Can he save his family from their evil agenda and get to a place safety in time? A haven where the human DNA is beyond the grasp and machinations of the deep state? Or will he be defeated by a nightmare journey of countless obstacles?
